Tree Trimming and Stump Removal for Homeowner in Euless, TX
As part of this Euless tree care project, we carefully trimmed an overgrown yaupon holly that had begun contacting the roof. Rather than giving it a harsh cutback, we selectively pruned the canopy to restore a more natural shape while providing long-term roof clearance. We also removed a nearby stump as a proactive measure. While the stump showed no signs of decay or fungal growth, old stumps can provide a suitable environment for certain fungi that may affect susceptible landscape plants, including boxwoods. Removing it helped eliminate a potential host while creating a cleaner, healthier landscape.

Before Yaupon Holly (Ilex vomitoria) was trimmed
This Yaupon Holly was rubbing and causing some shingle damage to the roof, the homeowner was planning on doing some roof repairs on the house but needed the Holly to be trimmed before the roofers would be able to do the repairs. She wanted to keep it natural looking while also providing enough clearance for the roof to be completed.

Before Stump removal
Stump grinding is a great way to improve the landscape, prevent tripping hazards, deter pests and diseases to include termites, prevent future growth from stump that will need to be maintained, and a natural way of adding organic matter into the soil.

Our Stump grinding machine
This is what we use to grind stumps. The Sc-30tx's raw rent price is around $350 a day and after tax and insurance can be almost $100 more. For less than the price it would cost you to rent this machine at a rental facility one day we professionally completed this entire job.

After Yaupon Holly (Ilex vomitoria) was trimmed
We came in the very next day and completed the trimming. I wanted to create a visible gap but also provide training cuts to try and encourage growth away from the roof. We used a pruner pole saw head for the outside canopy over the yard and a hand pruner to hand select cuts made over the roof. We specialize in quality over quantity so we took our time to make it right.

After Stump Removal
We completed Stump grinding on the same day as the trimming. We ground deep enough until there was no more stump left and we removed the excess stump clippings that were ground from our machine. After we took the mulch that was in the garden bed to completely cover the hole.
